  9. ------------
  10. SoundJunkie is a new sound daemon for use with the Amiga OS.
  11. It sits in the background waiting for SJ aware programs to send
  12. it messages, so that it can play configured samples.  Users of
  13. the ARQ/UPD combination may wish to give KeyReq and SoundJunkie
  14. a try!
  15.  
  16. New to this version:

  18. - ID strings to support non-English users
  19. - two new requester types, VersionWB and WB's Format Warning
  20. - Updated verbose / debug information for SoundJunkie and NotifyJunkie
  21. - Updated / overhauled documentation and example configuration file.

  23. Some features of SoundJunkie are:

  25. - 100% system legal, it does not rely upon any OS hacks.
  26. - Reread configuration file as directed by the user, no rebooting
  27.   to change your preferences.
  28. - Can quit from WB, no rebooting to turn it off.
  29. - Actively supported - see the future plans list in the guide!
  30. - Includes notification client, "NotifyJunkie" to allow the user to
  31.   control the daemon process.
